Here's how to Easily Check If Your Mobile Carrier

Already Supports RCS Messaging on iPhone in a few steps!

RCS Support in iOS 18 Messages App: Apple adds support for Rich Communications Services (RCS) in the Messages app. RCS support must be used by individual carriers.

Carrier Support for RCS: Major US carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon support RCS from day one.

RCS Features: iPhone users can send rich media, audio, and get read receipts with Android users, labeled as RCS.

Carrier Bundle Updates for RCS: Carriers need to work with Apple to roll out updated carrier bundles that enable RCS.

iOS Beta: During the iOS 18 beta, these updates were tied to iOS builds, but now they can be added separately. More carriers are expected to add RCS support in the coming months.

RCS on iOS 18: To enable RCS, go to Settings > Apps > Messages on your iPhone. If the option isn’t available, your carrier may not yet support RCS.

iOS 18 Update: iOS 18 is now available for download and requires an iPhone XR or later. To update, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

Need To Update: If your iOS version is not updated, you can update your iPhone by going to Settings > General > Software Update.
