iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Specs
With a higher demand for bigger and better smartphones today, Apple has launched their anticipated iPhone 6 and 6 Plus on Sept 19, 2014 in the U.S. The iPhone 6 starts at $199 and the iPhone 6 Plus starts at $299 on a two-year contract and comes in silver, gold, and space gray. By the end of 2014, Apple will make both models available in over 100 countries.
The iPhone 6 has a 4.7” Retina HD Display with 1334-by-750 resolution and a pixel density of 326 ppi. The iPhone 6 Plus has a 5.5″ Retina HD Display with 1920-by-1080 resolution and a pixel density of 401 ppi. Apple refers this as a Retina HD display, so both devices should be equally clear. The new camera on the iPhone 6 is a feature that stands out the best. It is still at 8-megapixels, but has a new sensor that Apple calls “focus pixels” that will achieve phase-detect autofocus.
Apple has promised up to 10 hours on LTE 14 hours of 3G talk time for the iPhone 6 and 12 hours on LTE and 24 hours of 3G talk time for the iPhone 6 Plus. NFC is finally a built in feature and will allow users to seamlessly use the upcoming Apple Pay system. Apple Pay combines NFC and Touch ID to allow users to make payments amongst thousands of merchants.
Both phones are compatible with Apples’ new Apple Watch. This watch is only compatible with iOS devices.
