Stop Your Phone from Tracking Your Every Move! - Your phone tracks your location more often than you think! Let’s go over how to stop it from sharing your whereabouts.

Why Does Your Phone Track You? - Phones use GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and cell towers to pinpoint your location. Sometimes it’s useful, but it can also put your privacy at risk.

On an iPhone, go to Settings ? Privacy & Security ? Location Services & check which apps have access. To limit tracking, set them to Never or While Using the App.

Step 1: Check App Permissions 

Go to Settings ? Location ? App Permissions. For apps that don't need  access, select "Only While Using the App" or "Deny" to limit tracking.

Step 2: Check App Permissions (Android)

Your phone can share your exact location or an approximate one. In settings, turn off Precise Location for apps that don’t need to know exactly where you are.

Step 3: Turn Off Precise Location

Turn it off at myaccount.google.com ? Data & Privacy. On iPhone, go to Settings ? Privacy ? Location Services ? System Services ? Significant Locations.

Step 4: Disable Location History

Disable Personalized Ads on iPhone via Settings ? Privacy ? Apple Advertising. On Android, go to Settings ? Privacy ? Ads and remove your Advertising ID.

Step 5: Block Ad Tracking

Web browsers can track your location too! Use privacy-focused browsers like DuckDuckGo, Firefox Focus, or Ecosia for better protection.

Step 6: Use a Privacy-Focused Browser

Apple’s Find My iPhone & Google’s Find My Device help recover lost phones but also track them. If you suspect unauthorized access, disable these features.

Step 7: Manage Find My Device Settings

Airplane mode can cut off tracking, but not always. If you need complete privacy, use a Faraday pouch to block all signals.
