Stem Design: For the first time, Samsung’s earbuds feature stems similar to Apple’s AirPods. The Buds 3 have an open-style design, while the Buds 3 Pro offer a premium feel
Pricing: The Buds 3 are priced at $180, and the Buds 3 Pro cost $250. Both models are available for preorder and will ship after July 24.
Blade Designs: Despite their premium features, the “blade” designs of these buds give them a more generic appearance compared to previous Galaxy Buds models.
Open Earbuds: Like standard AirPods, the Galaxy Buds 3 are open earbuds. They’re designed for those who prefer not to have ear tips jammed in their ears and want to hear ambient sounds.
Active Noise Canceling (ANC): The Buds 3 offer ANC, but its effectiveness may be limited due to the open design. ANC typically works better with sealed earbuds.
Comfort and Controls: Both models feature pinch controls (similar to the latest AirPods) and swipe controls for adjusting volume. They also have ear-detection sensors that pause audio when removed.
Sound Quality: The Buds 3 have a single 11mm dynamic driver. While not as good as the Buds 3 Pro, they aim to deliver decent sound quality for premium open earbuds.
Battery Life: With ANC off, the Buds 3 provide up to 6 hours of battery life, and 5 hours with ANC on. The charging case supports wireless charging and has a dedicated Bluetooth button.
